Weiss, a visionary music producer, weaves primal and dance-inducing beats that defy boundaries. Growing up in the UK he grew an eclectic range of musical taste influenced from the raw energy of Metallica to the soulful grooves of Motown and the pulsating rhythms of Disco to produce what would become a trove of instantly recognisable classics and unique, chunky, club rollers.



Weiss’ initial success as a producer was immediate and profound. His hit single “My Sister”, released in 2013, hit the top of the Beatport Charts and stayed there for four months. Assisted by a generous amount of support from BBC Radio 1, his sounds caught the attention of industry heavyweights like Annie Mac, Groove Armada, Green Velvet, Loco Dice, and Kenny Dope. Overwhelming support poured in from artists including Gorgon City, Eats Everything, Jax Jones, Duke Dumont, MK and Claude Vonstroke, and through a wildly successful career punctuated by remixes for Kylie Minogue, Robyn, Calvin Harris and Claptone.



Weiss has found himself amongst House Music’s elite sharing stages with legends including Todd Terry, Armand Van Helden and Pete Tong singing his praises.

ROCK IN PEACE on 13th October at The Prince Consort to commemorate the life of the late Brisbane music journalist, policy advocate, historian and author Ritchie Yorke, in what would have been his 80th year.
Ritchie formed solid friendships with the global legends of the day throughout his impressive career and ROCK IN PEACE features a musical tribute to those artists Ritchie supported such as John Lennon, Led Zeppelin, Van Morrison, Martha Reeves, Spencer Davis Group, Stevie Wonder, The Guess Who, The Beatles, Powderfinger, BB King, Jimmi Hendrix and more!

The theme of the event is based around songs/bands that Ritchie helped get to the top. The musical component of this unique Happening pays respect to the songs and bands that Ritchie helped climb the charts and will be performed by Livin Lovin Zeppelin, the Brisbane-based powerhouse that transcends the typical tribute band experience. Born from the ashes of the pandemic in 2020, this remarkable blues and rock ensemble doesn’t just play Led Zeppelin songs – they own them.

Cultivating their sound through immersive jam sessions, drawing in fellow musicians and enthusiasts alike.

Attendees are encouraged to send a message of peace and please wear white to honour the movement and Ritchie's relationship with John Lennon and Yoko Ono. Ritchie became an official Peace Ambassador during John and Yoko’s 1969 campaigns for peace, which included two-week “bed ins” in Amsterdam and Montreal, and looking across the Chinese border armed with banners promoting harmony. Ritchie continued to work with Yoko on various projects until his passing.

Fox Stevenson & Bensley OCTOBER 26th at La La Land, Fortitude Valley.
Laying down his tracks from scratch, Fox Stevenson also write’s and perform’s his own vocals. As a live musician, he is unafraid to pick up the guitar, drums, bass, or mix a live DJ set on stage. Fox’s tracks are genuine, space-creating oddities of a new generation. Fox is one of the few willing to balance and create a free-flowing tri-force of dance, pop, and rock elements in his music. A rare master of the live and digital, he is always experimenting and improving on his own structural artifices.
Bensley has carved out a signature sound with impactful nature and bass-heavy undertones, his music screams dancefloor appeal; all while retaining an intricate musicality that all electronic music fans will admire. Bensley’s high-energy sets have allowed him to become a commended act in the live Drum & Bass circuit, as he continues to impress fans and cultivate a loyal fanbase worldwide.

Captain Bass is a drum and bass producer from Herne, Belgium. At the age of 18, Captain Bass began producing drum & bass, more specifically jump-up. He was unstoppable.



He wanted to influence people, which he did. He’s known for his creative ideas, huge switches and catchy intros, thus resulting in crazy crowd reactions and a beautiful atmosphere at every show he performs at. Over the years his interest in other styles began to grow, thus he started experimenting with dancefloor dnb, dubstep and even psytrance. He bridged the cross-over; for example his well known tracks 'Remember Me' and 'Voice', which switches back to 174 BPM after a cheeky BPM switch-up.



Capi, as they say, has collaborated with Hedex, Turno, MC Skywalker and many others. He has released several anthems such as 'Statement', 'Soldiers', 'Left Behind' and he has played at some of the biggest festivals across the world, such as Tomorrowland, Rampage, Sunrise Festival and many more. His music is receiving DJ and radio support; support from stations such as BBC Radio 1, Kiss FM & Studio Brussels.



You can expect a lot of new music to be announced in the coming months. It’s safe to say Capi is going places!

With the weather heating up, we figured it was the perfect time for our next Zen & The Art of House instalment, this time we are pulling out the Funktion-One soundsystem for an open-air Terrace Party featuring international heavyweights Soul Clap (USA) and Murphy’s Law (UK) on headliner duties.
